Now let me clarify before you all jump to conclusions. When I titled this post “Enchanting”, I was not necessarily referring to the twenty plus hours of travel it took to reach our final (first) destination or the unavoidable sleepless nights as your body slowly adjusts to a new time zone, but rather the spell that the Highlands holds you under as long as you stay within her reach.
Our week-long highland journey was led by Donna and Eddie Stiven, and I cannot say enough great things about the two of them. It is no easy feat to take care of, educate, and feed a group of twenty foreigners, but they did it, and boy did they do it well. While the beginnings and ends of our highland days were quite similar, the in-betweens were always unique and incredible. It would take much too long to describe each day individually, so I attached some of my pictures to show you just how amazing the start of our trip truly was-
