Hiii! Welcome to my Blog! It’s so crazy to think that 5 months ago, Edinburgh seemed like a very distant future, and now we are finally here! After months of hard work and dedication to the script and world of the show, we have made it!
The move from Glasgow to Edinburgh was pretty smooth! I woke up around 7:30am, and we walked to the train station at 9:30. Walking in the Glasgow train station felt like something straight out of a Harry Potter novel (plus a few storm troopers walking around). Once we stepped foot in Edinburgh, I could immediately tell the difference between this city and the last. Kysiah said it best! Edinburgh feels like Glasgow in 0.5 zoom. Everything is bigger here! The buildings, the streets, even our room sizes. Also, I feel like Edinburgh is a happy mix between Glenelg (The Highlands) and Glasgow: keeping the city feeling of Glasgow while also seeing some greenery in the distance. When walking around the city we were actually able to see our very own Lifelong poster hung up by our venue! We were very excited as you can tell.

The Fringe is such a different theatre experience than anything I’ve ever been a part of. This is because typically shows will have a few days to ‘tech’ their show. However, at the Fringe, you only get a few hours! The day after we settled into Edinburgh, we had 4 hours to tech our entire 70 minute show. But because we had such good preparation and an incredible creative team, we got everything done within that time.

During our tech week process, the actors were also in charge of “flyering”. Flyering includes hanging up posters and handing out flyers in order to promote our show! This has also given us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world who have travelled very far to put their artistry on stage! It gives us the chance to make new relationships that could last for years to come.

Between rehearsals, tech, and flyering, I was still able to find some time to explore the beautiful city of Edinburgh. I found so many charity shops and delicious food spots near our accommodations! We are only a few days into our final chapter in Scotland, and I am extremely excited and ready for what Edinburgh has in store for us. I know that we will continue to make great memories and maintain the heart and love amongst this cast and within this show.
